Corinthians earned a draw against Palmeiras at Neo Química Arena in the 11th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, despite red cards for André and Matheuzinho.
According to Globo.com, goalkeeper Hugo Souza received the top rating after a secure display, making important second-half saves to keep Palmeiras out.
André was dismissed on 34 minutes of the first half for placing his hand on the genital area during a foul on Andreas Pereira in midfield. Matheuzinho later saw a second sanction after his third league booking, sent off for punching Flaco López, and will serve a two-match suspension.
Raniele delivered a commanding shift, well positioned for interceptions and tackles, using his physicality to marshal midfield.
After the interval, Kayke burst into the box on 13 minutes, beating Marlon Freitas with a fine dribble but failing to finish. On 29 minutes, Yuri Alberto squandered a huge chance when clean through, shooting at Palmeiras goalkeeper Carlos Miguel, though he worked tirelessly without the ball.
Lingard arrived late and had little impact. Head coach Fernando Diniz repeated the lineup that beat Platense and organised his nine men to preserve a valuable point, the display undermined by the needless dismissals.
