Corinthians rest starters as reserves train, Vitinho to have knee surgery | OneFootball

After returning from Salvador with a draw against Bahia on Sunday, Corinthians resumed work on Monday morning at CT Joaquim Grava. Starters followed indoor recovery, while reserves trained with under-20 players on the pitch.

The club said Fernando Diniz led an opposed session involving those who came on in the second half in Bahia, unused substitutes and players who had remained in São Paulo.

Forward Vitinho was absent after suffering a meniscus injury in his left knee on Friday. Following tests, he will require surgery.

Corinthians are due back on the training pitch on Tuesday.

On Thursday at 19:30 Brasília time, they host Athletico-PR at Neo Química Arena in the 21st round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
