Corinthians have not yet paid image rights owed to their men’s and women’s senior squads, though academy stipends have now been cleared after a delay.

Ge.globo reported the youth payments were made on Monday, two weeks late, having been due on 15 June.

The stipend, for 14 to 20-year-olds on training contracts under the General Sports Law, is a monthly, non-salary allowance to cover basic costs.

Image rights for Fernando Diniz’s side fell due on 20 June, and the Brabas’ on 15 June, and both remain outstanding. The board is working to settle these arrears. CLT salaries are now up to date.

It is the second straight month of missed deadlines. In May, the men’s April CLT wages were about eight days late and the Brabas’ image rights roughly two weeks late. This month, Diniz’s squad and staff waited almost 20 days for CLT pay.

With debts near R$2.7 billion, Corinthians are also under a FIFA transfer ban for late payment to Philadelphia Union for José Martínez. After losing at FIFA and on appeal to CAS, they must pay 1.425 million dollars plus 15% annual interest and charges, and cannot register players for the next three windows.

In early June, the club were ordered to pay 850,000 dollars to New York City FC over Talles Magno’s loan extension, a decision they can still appeal. A separate CAS ruling to pay more than R$6 million to FC Midtjylland could lead to another transfer ban.
