Corinthians have signed a new contract with Indigo to run parking at Neo Química Arena, including a revised revenue share and funding for extra seating.
According to Meu Timao, the club will receive 35% of monthly net parking revenue, and Indigo will finance about 2,000 permanent seats in the Leste Superior expansion. The sums for the works have not been disclosed, and the deal is expected to be confirmed later on Wednesday via the club’s channels.
The new stands are permanent, unlike temporary structures used for the 2014 World Cup and NFL games. Work is contingent on permits and approvals despite funding being secured. The agreement also wipes an outstanding debt of about R$ 2.5 million owed by Corinthians to Indigo.
Indigo has operated the arena’s parking since 2018, after a deal struck under then president Andrés Sanchez. Corinthians received R$ 11.4 million, with R$ 2.5 million paid to Omni and R$ 8.9 million sent to the Arena fund in two instalments.
That contract barred removal for 120 months and blocked termination for cause. Early termination without cause was only possible after 10 years in case of automatic renewal with 30 days’ notice, and a March 2025 email estimated a R$ 12,630,915 penalty. The company was also exempt from rent if annual net takings were R$ 4.888 million or lower.
In 2025 the arrangement drew criticism for low profitability under president Augusto Melo, and the club explored alternatives offering a larger share and possible upfront funds. MultiPark held advanced talks to take over in May last year, but no switch was formalised.
Before any change was settled, parking prices rose in February 2025. Sectors E2 and E3 moved to R$ 170, up 21%, while E4 and E5 increased to R$ 140, up 27%. The previous adjustment was in 2023.
