Corinthians training: Diniz tests squad and leads 10v10 tactical work at CT Joaquim Grava | OneFootball

Corinthians completed the 19th day of their interseason programme at CT Joaquim Grava on Thursday morning, as Fernando Diniz intensified tactical preparation.

The club said in a statement that Diniz trialled options and oversaw a 10v10 tactical exercise focused on attacking and defensive behaviours. Players also worked on possession.

Youngsters Gui Negão, Dieguinho, Gui Amorim and Luiz Gustavo Bahia were released to reinforce the Under-20s. They face Palmeiras on Thursday in the Under-20 Brazilian Championship quarter-finals.

Amid ongoing talks over a contract renewal, Memphis Depay was also absent from the session. Left-back Hugo and forward Vitinho remain in physical transition, a process that began on Wednesday.

In exactly one week, Corinthians host Remo at 19:30 Brasília time at Neo Química Arena in the Brasileirão.

Diniz’s team are 10th on 24 points, six off the G-4 and four clear of the relegation zone.
