Corinthians’ women closed their first week of mid-season work on Saturday morning, running drills on approach, containment and switching between sectors. The squad are preparing for a decisive second half across the Campeonato Brasileiro, Copa do Brasil, Campeonato Paulista and Libertadores.

According to Meu Timao, the session began with a gym activation at the training centre, then on-pitch exercises led by Emily Lima. It marked the third training day since the players returned from holidays granted during the World Cup calendar pause.

The group still have absences. Goalkeeper Lelê is undergoing specific treatment after being diagnosed with tendinopathy in the posterior area of her right thigh. Centre-back Agustina, sidelined since the start of pre-season, has begun physical readaptation with the Núcleo de Saúde e Performance.

There was brighter news with two returns. Centre-back Thaís Regina and midfielder Juliana Passari have recovered and were back on the pitch, featuring in friendlies against the United States Under-23s earlier this month.

The Brabas’ next official outing is on 17 July at 19:00, when they host Ferroviária at Fazendinha in the fourth round of the Paulistão. Emily Lima now has just under three weeks to intensify preparations before a run of decisive fixtures in the second half.
