‘Could have injured him’ – Barcelona stars left ‘surprised’ by teammate’s dangerous training challenge | OneFootball

The first-team squad at La Liga champions Barcelona were left taken aback by the aggressive nature of a training ground challenge on the part of one of their teammates during pre-season.

That’s according to Catalunya Radio, who point towards Gavi as the player in question.

Youngster Gavi for his part took his place front and centre in the media chatter surrounding Barcelona this past summer.

As much came after word was forthcoming that the Spanish international had fallen out with teammate, midfield partner and long-time friend Fermín López.

Reports varied when it came to the reasoning for as much, with some having suggested that the two players’ girlfriends do not see eye to eye.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word doing the rounds online this week is anything to go by, then the issues in fact appear to have been kickstarted by Gavi’s actions during training.

As per a report from Catalunya Radio, citing info gathered by Barcelona insider Javier Miguel:

‘The first situation happened during the Asian tour, in Korea, in a training session and after a hard tackle by Gavi on Fermín, which caused surprise in the locker room because it was an action in a training session that could have injured Fermín.’
