Sébastien Pocognoli has named Mamadou Coulibaly and Christian Mawissa in his starting XI for AS Monaco’s home meeting with Marseille on Sunday at 20:45, matchday 28 of Ligue 1 and a key contest in the Champions League race.

According to Nice-Matin, Coulibaly comes in for Aladji Bamba, who started at Lyon before the break but suffered a knee injury and was withdrawn at half-time. Bamba worked indoors on Friday during the 15-minute media window.

Mawissa is also promoted after his bright cameo against Lyon, taking the left wing-back role from Simon Adingra. Pocognoli therefore changes the side that won 2-1 at Lyon in the final game before the break.

Paul Pogba returns to the squad and starts on the bench. Monaco remain without Caio Henrique, Takumi Minamino, Vanderson, Paris Brunner, Kassoum Ouattara and Mohammed Salisu through injury.

Monaco begin the night seventh, three points behind Marseille, and will aim to draw level with the visitors in the race for the podium and Champions League places.

Monaco XI: Hradecky, Kehrer, Zakaria (cap.), Faes, Teze, Camara, Coulibaly, Mawissa, Akliouche, Golovin, Balogun.
