Coventry City star Jack Rudoni has revealed why he has found Sky Blues boss Frank Lampard 'brilliant' to work with
Frank Lampard's Coventry City are closing in on the Championship title, but midfielder Jack Rudoni has been absent throughout March due to a calf injury.
The Sky Blues sit top of the second tier, nine points clear of second-place Middlesbrough with seven games remaining, following last Saturday's 3-0 win at Swansea City.
Boro have failed to win their last three Championship games, whereas Lampard's men have been on excellent form, winning seven of their last eight fixtures.
Coventry can further strengthen their grip on the second-tier title when they host Derby County on Good Friday, which will mark their return to league action following the international break.

The Sky Blues proved their resilience when they convincingly defeated Swansea last Saturday, as they successfully recovered from their 2-1 home loss to Southampton on 14 March.
Coventry star Rudoni has proven his individual resilience this term, as he has failed to hit the heights of last season, when his return of nine goals and 12 assists played a crucial role in securing a Championship play-off spot for Lampard's men.
The 24-year-old was in great form before his current calf injury though, scoring in three successive games as the CBS Arena outfit defeated West Bromwich Albion, Sheffield United, and Stoke City.
Meanwhile, speaking to The iPaper about Lampard's influence on him, Rudoni revealed: "He’s everything I need from a mentor. There’s nothing more I could ask. He’s brilliant to work with. We talk a lot, we work very closely in training sessions, and we talk off the pitch.
"I think you can see it in the way my game’s come on, especially in the last season and even just the last few weeks. This season’s been hard for me, but I’m finally getting back to how my form was.
"He talks to me a lot and even when I’ve been going through my struggles with little injuries and things that have maybe hindered me at times through this season, he’s been so good with me.
"We’ve worked hard together to get me back to the level I need to get to and was at before. I think we’ve seen that coming out in the last few (games).
"A lot of the staff have been helping me, especially the gaffer and (assistant manager) Joe Edwards, not just tactically but also personally being there for me and helping me get back to my best."

As the midfielder acknowledged, Rudoni hasn't hit last season's heights this time around, even though Coventry are advancing towards the Championship title.
His return of five goals and five assists in the second tier this term suggests that he won't match last campaign's haul of nine goals and 12 assists.
However, Rudoni has made four goal contributions in his last four games, which have bolstered their chances of winning the Championship title.
Aside from their defeat to Southampton, Coventry have coped well with the midfielder's absence, winning all but one of their games in March.
However, Rudoni's recent exploits against Stoke, Sheffield United, and West Brom prove that he is likely to perform in upcoming meetings with Derby, Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday, as Lampard revealed to Coventry Live that he is 'hopeful' the midfielder will return to training next week.
The Sky Blues are seemingly just a matter of time away from lifting the Championship title, and the talented 24-year-old's return will only strengthen their performances.
