Cristina Martín-Prieto leaves Benfica on a free after two seasons | OneFootball

Benfica have announced the departure of Cristina Martín-Prieto. The Andalusian forward, 33, leaves as a free agent at the end of her contract, two years after arriving.

She excelled in her first campaign in 2024/2025, scoring 30 times and supplying five assists in 37 outings, finishing as the league’s top scorer.

In 2025/2026 her role diminished, yet she still featured regularly, making 28 appearances, 12 in the Liga BPI, six in the Champions League, five in the League Cup, four in the Portuguese Cup and one in the Super Cup. Across 1,613 minutes she scored five goals.

Addressing supporters via the club’s channels, she thanked Benfica fans for making her feel and love the shirt, expressed deep gratitude, and said she will carry the club with her wherever she goes.

According to Glorioso 1904, Galatasaray are in talks to sign the former Sevilla striker, and she could play alongside Jéssica Silva in Istanbul.
