Crystal Palace defender Daniel Munoz is set to undergo surgery on a knee injury.
Speaking on Wednesday before the Conference League trip to Shelbourne, Oliver Glasner said the 29-year-old faces a few weeks out and will have the operation, that the club must be cautious as it does not appear too serious, and that Jean-Phillipe Mateta will rest after a minor knee issue on France duty.
Munoz missed Sunday’s 2-1 victory at Fulham. He has been a standout this season, with four goals and two assists in 23 games, and had started all 14 Premier League matches before that trip.
At Craven Cottage he was replaced in the starting line-up by 34-year-old Nathaniel Clyne.
Mateta played 66 minutes on Sunday before Christantus Uche came on. Centre-back Jaydee Canvot will miss Thursday through illness, while forward Ismaila Sarr is sidelined with an ankle ligament injury. Palace face 10 matches before 10 January.
