Glasner provides updates on Munoz and Mateta injuries | OneFootball

Crystal Palace defender Daniel Munoz is set to undergo surgery, boss Oliver Glasner has revealed.

The Colombian has suffered a knee injury and is expected to be sidelined for several weeks.

“We will miss Dani for a few weeks, he will undergo surgery,” Glasner said.

“Always when you undergo surgery, you never know. We are always cautious. It doesn’t look so serious.

“We have 10 games until January 10th, so this is our challenge for this group.”

Jean-Philippe Mateta will also miss Palace’s Conference League clash with Shelbourne, Glasner says, but he hopes the forward will be available for the game against Manchester City.

“JP will rest,” Glasner said. “We have to manage his knee, so he’s stayed at home.

“The plan is that JP will return to training on Friday and then he should be available.”
