Barcelona will entertain Valencia at the Nou Camp this Sunday night as they look to secure a win at home in La Liga. The Catalan outfit were held to a 1-1 draw away at Rayo Vallecano before the international break, so they would be eager to return to winning ways in the league.

Hansi Flick will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first XI for this game. Pau Cubarsi, Gerard Martin, and Marc Casado could all play from the start of this contest.

Defence

Joan Garcia will feature in between the sticks for Barca after conceding one goal in his last league outing. Eric Garcia will function alongside Pau Cubarsi at the centre of Flick’s defence as they look to keep a good shape on the defensive end of the pitch.

Jules Kounde will feature as the right-back, while Gerard Martin hopes to catch the eye as the left-back. Both of them will be given the license to go forward and express themselves in the Valencia half.

Ronald Araujo will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Marc Casado and Pedri will play as the holding midfielders for the Catalan club as they look to dictate the tempo of the game from the middle of the park.

The talented trio of Raphinha, Dani Olmo and Lamine Yamal will function just ahead of them as part of Flick’s attack. All three of them need to be at their best if Barcelona are to secure all three points this weekend.

Fermin Lopez will have to be content with a place on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Ferran Torres will lead the line for the Catalan giants up top. He would be eager to find the back of the net this Sunday night after failing to do so in his last league appearance.

Marcus Rashford will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if Barcelona need a goal by then.
