Cuca handed extra time as Santos switch to mornings during FIFA break | OneFootball

Santos have set out their first-team schedule for the week. According to Diario Do Peixe, this comes during the FIFA window, giving Cuca a longer spell to work with the squad after a draw in his opening game.

Players are off on Monday and Tuesday, then report on Wednesday 25 at 15:00 for a 16:00 session at CT Rei Pelé.

From Thursday 26 through Sunday 29, work switches to mornings, with players reporting at nine and training at 10:00, again at CT Rei Pelé.

The change contrasts with former coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda’s routine, when afternoons were preferred and mornings were mostly reserved for travel days.

With added preparation time, Cuca aims to embed his ideas and reorganise the side at the start of his tenure. Santos face Remo at 19:00 at Vila Belmiro on the second, in round nine of the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A.
