Eartha Cumings says she can’t wait to get started at Manchester City after completing her transfer to the Club.

The Scotland international goalkeeper has penned a three-year deal with Andrée Jeglertz’s side which will keep her at the Joie Stadium until the summer of 2028, subject to international clearance.

She arrives following the expiry of her contract at Rosengard this summer where she won the 2024 Damallsvenskan and was named Goalkeeper of the Year following that triumphant term.

Before her successful spell in Sweden, she played for Scottish outfit Spartans ahead of moves to Bristol City, Charlton, Liverpool and Everton.

Now at City, Cumings stated her gratitude for the opportunity afforded to her with the Blues.

“I'm feeling really happy,” she declared.

“Really excited and I'm looking forward to getting started. It's a yeah, a massive club and it's a huge opportunity to be here and to play here.

“I know [City’s Director of Football] Therese [Sjogran] as well, obviously. And I really enjoy working with her and I'm excited to be in the city in Manchester.

“[Our conversations were] just talking about the team and the like, ambitions for the team and how they see the Club moving forwards and all that kind of stuff.

“It's good that we have a good relationship. I try and speak a bit of Swedish to her so that's quite fun. It goes so, so.”

Cumings switch to City sees her once again share a dressing room with Rebecca Knaak who she played with at Rosengard between 2023 and 2024.

The German central defender joined the Blues in January and made 12 appearances and scored four goals during the second half of 2024/25.

For Cumings, she says already knowing someone at the Joie Stadium will help her settle into her new surroundings.

She added: “I have been texting Becks [Knaak] a wee bit, so she loves it here and I'm looking forward to seeing her soon. I think she's really happy here.

“It's always good to have, like, a familiar face, isn't it? Makes you feel more comfortable and more at home.”
