In discussions recently held in Madrid, Roma sporting director Tony D’Amico received encouraging signals from two highly-rated prospects: Endrick and Franco Mastantuono.
Both players are considered solid targets for the future of the Giallorossi, but the Brazilian Real Madrid player represents the most intriguing prospect for the management.
According to Il Messaggero, Endrick is the name most intriguing to the coaching staff and ownership, with the idea that the young striker could alternate with Paulo Dybala in Roma’s attacking system.
This possibility stems from the desire to add a young player with strong international potential to the squad.
This scenario could become even more likely if Matías Soulé were to leave Trigoria. If the Argentine were to leave Trigoria, Roma would be ready to intensify their contacts for Endrick, seeking a deal beyond a simple loan.
The club’s plan is to build a more complex operation, similar to those seen in other international deals, with a “Nico Paz-style” model that provides broader control over the player’s career.
At the same time, the possibility of signing Franco Mastantuono, a 2007-born Real Madrid talent already being pursued by several top European clubs, remains alive.
The young Argentine continues to be closely monitored, but Fiorentina currently appears to have the upper hand: unlike the Roman club, the Viola would also accept a loan, and Sporting Director Paratici is pushing to bring him to Florence.
