Daniel Farke says Daniel James will not require surgery and is set for eight weeks before he can return to team training. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the winger has missed the last three games with a hamstring tendon injury. Leeds host fifth-placed Crystal Palace at Elland Road on Saturday, with kick-off at eight pm.
Palace arrive only 48 hours after facing KuPs in the Europa Conference League at Selhurst Park. Farke does not expect any other injured players to return for this fixture.
He described the approach as conservative and said they will judge how quickly he returns to full speed once he is back with the group.
On other injuries, he said Sean Longstaff is progressing in rehab, doing individual running and ball work, with reintegration to team training the first step. The process will take time, and decisions are being made day to day and game to game.
Lukas Nmecha remains out and symptomatic, so Farke expects the same group of players. Palace head coach Oliver Glasner has said he will not start any player at Elland Road who began Thursday's tie against KuPs.
