Decisive figure rescues Lincoln City against Southampton

Mikkel Ladefoged headed a late equaliser in the 87th minute to earn Lincoln City a 1-1 draw with Southampton.

Ladefoged rose to Reeco Hackett-Fairchild's clipped cross and glanced a close-range header into the top right (87.). It was the substitute's sharpest touch, arriving between centre-backs just as Saints tried to see the game out.

The towering forward then helped Lincoln City pin Saints back with his aerial presence and hold-up play, keeping the ball alive in dangerous areas as pressure built late on.

He finished with two attempts, one on target, three key passes and two clearances, a neat split that showed why his introduction tilted momentum against the Saints.
