Breno Lopes opened the scoring in the 33rd minute with a right-footed finish, as Coritiba drew 2-2 with Botafogo.
The midfielder timed his run onto Josue's through ball and slotted home from the left side of the box after a fast break, handing Coxa the initiative.
Soon after, he created again, teeing up Lucas Ronier for a central chance (42.) that flew over as Fogão's back line stretched to cover his movement.
His whipped cross then found Bruno Melo arriving at the back post (69.), another opening that went begging, underlining how Coxa-Branca kept threatening in transition.
He finished with one goal, two key passes and one accurate cross, plus eight successful final third passes that kept Glorioso pinned back in their own half. He departed (70.) after 24 touches, having set the game's attacking tone for the visitors.
Coxa host Atlético Mineiro next in the Brasileirão. Fogão visit Racing Club in the CONMEBOL Sudamericana next.
