England have suffered five withdrawals for their Nations League fixtures, with Declan Rice and Cole Palmer among those to pull out. Thomas Tuchel has called up Morgan Gibbs-White and James Garner to bolster the squad.

The absentees are Palmer of Chelsea, Rice of Arsenal, Kobbie Mainoo and Marcus Rashford of Manchester United, and Tino Livramento of Newcastle. According to The Athletic, Gibbs-White, 26, was on a family holiday in Dubai and is now travelling to England.

Gibbs-White plays for Nottingham Forest and Garner is an Everton midfielder.

England face Spain on 26 September, Czechia on 29 September and six October, and Croatia on three October in the Nations League.

The changes were confirmed early on Monday afternoon.
