Domenico Tedesco is the new Head Coach of Bologna | OneFootball

Bologna FC 1909 can confirm the appointment of Domenico Tedesco as the Head Coach of our Men’s First Team. Tedesco has signed a contract until 30 June 2028, with an option for a one-year extension.

Born in Rossano, Calabria, on 12 September 1985, he began his coaching career in the youth sectors of VfB Stuttgart and then Hoffenheim. He subsequently took charge of the first team at Erzgebirge Aue, before stints at Schalke 04, Spartak Moscow, RB Leipzig, the Belgium national team and Fenerbahce. In the Bundesliga, he finished second with Schalke and fourth with RB Leipzig, while in Russia, he finished as a runner-up. In European football, he took Schalke to the round of 16. He has won two trophies as a coach: the DFL Pokal with RB Leipzig in 2021/22 and the Turkish Super Cup with Fenerbahce in 2025. He has coached in both the Champions League and Europa League.
