A new development further fuels speculation about an imminent transfer of Serhou Guirassy to FC Barcelona.This Tuesday, a German sports report revealed that Borussia Dortmund has agreed to lower the release clause of the Guinean international to facilitate his departure.

According to (Bild), Guirassy, strongly linked to Barça, has reached an agreement with his club to reduce the clause from 100 million euros to 65 million starting next summer.Mundo Deportivo points out that this new amount makes the deal much more realistic. The decision comes especially in light of the current financial crisis faced by the Spanish club.Guirassy’s market value is estimated at 45 million euros by Transfermarkt. His contract runs until the summer of 2028.Let’s recall that Guirassy made headlines during last season’s Champions League quarter-final second leg. He netted a decisive hat-trick that allowed Borussia Dortmund to claim a 3-1 victory over FC Barcelona.
