Borussia Dortmund are preparing to open contract talks with Julian Ryerson, Waldemar Anton and Gregor Kobel this year, Sport BILD reports.

Ryerson, currently with his national team at the World Cup, lifted his market value last season with 15 Bundesliga assists. Dortmund want to discuss a new deal with the 28-year-old beyond 2028 this autumn.

Club chiefs also plan to extend fellow defender Anton’s contract to keep him long term. He is viewed as central to the club’s future and is expected to commit early. Talks over a deal running to 2030 are reportedly scheduled immediately after the World Cup, despite interest from Manchester United.

Kobel holds similarly high standing and is under contract until 2028. Internally, the Swiss goalkeeper is rated among the best in Europe. The club would look to contact him towards the end of the year to discuss an extension.

That approach would only happen if no club comes forward with a good offer in the current transfer window.
