Michael Olise has long since become a key player at FC Bayern. Now, the club is reportedly pursuing a plan that could reach new financial heights.

Michael Olise has quickly become one of the most important players at FC Bayern. The Frenchman impressed last season with strong performances and is said to have long since attracted the interest of several top European clubs. Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly closely monitoring the attacking player’s development.

In Munich, however, there is apparently no willingness whatsoever to consider a potential sale. On the contrary: Bayern are reportedly planning to tie Olise even more closely to the club in the long term. According to information from the French newspaper L’Équipe, an early contract extension is even on the table.

The 24-year-old’s current contract runs through 2029. According to the report, Bayern could begin talks this fall to extend the contract through June 2031. This would allow the German record champions to send a clear signal early on and take the wind out of the sails of potential suitors.

Statements from an unnamed Bayern official reveal just how highly Olise is apparently regarded internally. “He won’t leave even for 200 million euros,” the official is quoted as saying by L’Équipe.

Olise could become the Bundesliga’s top earner

The official went even further, making it clear just how untouchable Olise apparently is from Bayern’s perspective: “Olise is priceless; he won’t leave even for 500 million euros. I’m not even sure if Real would get a foot in the door with Olise for 150 million euros.”

In addition to the contract length, the salary could be the decisive factor. According to the report, a doubling of his current salary is on the table as part of a potential extension. If that were to happen, Olise would move into a completely new financial category.

A doubling of his salary could push the attacking star past the 30 million euro per year mark. This would make Olise not only one of the absolute top earners at FC Bayern, but possibly even the highest-paid professional in the entire Bundesliga.

But one thing is also clear: such a move would be remarkable. Bayern has been working for some time to regain greater control over the salary structure within the squad. A contract of this magnitude would therefore have to be weighed very carefully internally.

On the field, however, there is little doubt about Olise’s importance. The Frenchman is considered a key building block for Munich’s future and is also expected to play an important role for France at the World Cup. For FC Bayern, the message to the competition is apparently clear: Olise is to remain in Munich for the long term.
