Jagiellonia striker awaits his first cap for the national side

DR Congo: Afimico Pululu still hoping for national team call-up
Afimico Pululu is yet to make his international debut, despite his impressive performances for Jagiellonia Białystok in Poland. In an interview with Goal.pl, he discussed the obstacles that have delayed his call-up to the national team.
The Congolese striker initially opted to represent Angola, but never played an official match. Later, he decided to play for the Democratic Republic of Congo, but missed out on his chance due to injury. Nevertheless, the Congolese staff have assured him that he remains on their radar and that an opportunity could arise if he continues to deliver on the pitch.
Something has always gotten in the way, like an injury for example. But I’ve spoken with the national team staff, and they assured me they’re still following my progress. They told me to keep playing, keep scoring goals, and wait for the call.
For now, the player is staying focused on his club. Delivering strong performances in the Ekstraklasa, he hopes his stats will finally open the door to the DR Congo Leopards, who are just one game away from qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
