Sports medicine specialist Dr João Silva says Vitinho, the Corinthians forward who has undergone knee surgery, faces a recovery of about six months, depending on his progress.

According to Meu Timao, the striker was injured during a training session and underwent an arthroscopy to repair the damage.

The doctor described it as a complicated injury, yet said that with appropriate treatment Vitinho could return to playing at a high level.
