Ederson wants to return to Benfica, with the Fenerbahçe goalkeeper’s preference clear amid a difficult spell in Türkiye, according to Glorioso 1904.

The Brazil international is experiencing discontent at Fenerbahçe, where supporter pressure and growing criticism of his performances have created a heavy atmosphere, far from the stability he sought on moving to Türkiye.

He believes some of his best career moments came in Lisbon, where he established himself at the top level and gained international prominence.

Any move back is far from straightforward. He is under contract with Fenerbahçe until 2028, putting the club in a strong position in any talks and making a short-term exit difficult.

Finances are another obstacle. His current salary sits well above Benfica’s means, so a significant pay cut would be required for a transfer to take shape.

For now, the idea remains alive more through emotion than concrete conditions to advance.

This season, Ederson, valued at 13 million euros, has made 36 appearances. That includes 24 in the Turkish league, nine in the Europa League, two in the Turkish Super Cup and one in the cup. He has played 3,242 minutes and conceded 37 goals.
