Eintracht Frankfurt in talks to sign Saint-Étienne’s Djylian N’Guessan | OneFootball

Djylian N’Guessan (17) is touted as one of the next big things in French football, and despite a season largely on the periphery of the first team at AS Saint-Étienne, he has a big-name suitor in the form of Eintracht Frankfurt, as per a report from Fabrizio Romano.

Back in January, ASSE were reluctant to part ways with N’Guessan. The club had their sights on an immediate return on a return to Ligue 1 following relegation in the previous campaign. As a result, an €8m bid from Chelsea was rejected, L’Équipe understands.

He remained, but having missed out on promotion, departures are now expected this summer and N’Guessan could well be one of them. Last season, he played just five games for the first team, scoring once in that time. 

He continues to impress in France’s youth set-up. He has already played for the U20 side, having been prolific with the U17s and U16s. Romano understands that Eintracht Frankfurt are now in talks to sign the Frenchman, whose deal with Saint-Étienne expires next summer.
