To continue strengthening their attack, Roma needs to make some sales.
Gian Piero Gasperini expects two more signings: a right-footed left winger and an alternative to Wesley on the same flank.
The message from the owners has been clear: to complete further deals to improve the attack, they need to raise money. With whom? Keep an eye on the positions of El Aynaoui and Ziolkowski.
Both players are popular in Saudi Arabia, a transfer that could help Roma in the last minute.
The Moroccan midfielder is being eyed by several Saudi clubs: the goal is to generate a capital gain of around €15 million.
According to Repubblica, Roma has set the price for selling El Aynaoui to Saudi Arabia: €35 million. This would allow the club to generate a €15 million capital gain and invest in the incoming transfer market.
The Moroccan midfielder isn’t the only player available to unlock the final negotiations needed to complete Gasperini’s squad.
In addition to the former Lens player, Jan Ziolkowski could also end up in Saudi Arabia. Neom is interested in the Polish defender.
Roma is asking €20 million for the 2005-born player, which, when added to the €35 million for El Aynaoui, brings the total to €55 million. This sum would help D’Amico close the final two transfer deals to meet Gasperini’s demands.
