Elias Manoel strikes in added time as Santa Clara snatch draw at Arouca | OneFootball

Arouca and Santa Clara drew 2-2 at the Estádio Municipal de Arouca as Elias Manoel's stoppage time equaliser kept the hosts 11th and the visitors 13th in Liga Portugal.

Lee Hyun-Ju put Arouca ahead in the eighth minute, turning in Tiago Esgaio's pass from close range. Gabriel Silva quickly levelled with a header from Serginho's cross after a corner (10.).

An early injury forced Guilherme Romão off for Santa Clara, but Gabriel Batista kept them in it with smart stops from Espen van Ee and Taichi Fukui. Arouca then had Lee Hyun-Ju receive a second yellow and be sent off (66.).

Despite the setback, Esgaio restored the Arouca lead with a glancing header from Fukui's corner (83.). After the introductions of Welinton and Elias Manoel, the former nodded across for the latter to finish in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time.

Arouca registered five efforts on target from nine attempts. Santa Clara produced four on target from 12 attempts.
