En-Nesyri transfer leaves Fenerbahce under temporary three-window ban | OneFootball

Fenerbahce have been hit with a temporary three-window transfer ban, linked to Youssef En-Nesyri’s switch from Sevilla, despite the striker now playing for Saudi club Al-Ittihad.

The club said in a statement that the restriction will be lifted once the outstanding amount is settled, explaining that a payment due on 30 April from the 2024 deal to sign En-Nesyri from Sevilla was missed by the previous administration. The current board have since paid that sum and Sevilla have requested early receipt of the next instalment, due on 31 October. Fenerbahce plan to pay it on Monday when staff return to the offices, which, they said, will lift the ban automatically.

En-Nesyri joined Fenerbahce from Sevilla in summer 2024 for 19.5 million euros, then left for Al-Ittihad in the last winter window.

The three-window sanction was announced on Saturday and covers signing new players in the upcoming windows.

The Morocco international spent a season and a half in Türkiye with Fenerbahce, making 79 appearances and producing 38 goals and eight assists.
