Ethan Ampadu says the standout moment of Leeds United’s first season back in the Premier League was the night safety was confirmed, even above the Old Trafford triumph.

"Definitely the game against Man United. I think not just for the players playing and the staff involved but as a club as a whole, to have not won there in the league for 40-something years, I could see how much that meant to people and to hear that was the stand out moment for a lot of people around the city was amazing. But I think definitely that moment at the end of the season where we were all together watching the result that kept us in the Premier League. That was definitely the stand out moment for us all." He told LUTV.

"That was our target at the start of the season, to stay in the Premier League, and obviously that was the moment where it as fully done. So it was definitely a good evening to enjoy with everyone."

Leeds secured survival with three games to spare on Sunday, May 10 when Arsenal won 1-0 at relegation-bound West Ham. They finished 14th, eight points clear, despite a final-day defeat at West Ham.

The April win at Manchester United finished 2-1 courtesy of a Noah Okafor brace, and Ampadu has since heard many supporters saw that as their standout moment.
