Excelsior climb to 13th after clinical second half at Sparta | OneFootball

Excelsior beat Sparta Rotterdam 3-2 at Sparta-Stadion Het Kasteel, rising from 14th to 13th on the final day.

In the 14th minute Giannino Vianello put through his own net to hand the visitors the lead.

After the restart Arthur Zagre doubled the advantage (50.). Ayoni Santos quickly replied (53.) to give Sparta Rotterdam hope.

Noah Naujoks restored the two-goal cushion with a close-range header from a Gyan de Regt cross after a corner (62.).

Milan Zonneveld pulled one back in the first minute of second half stoppage time. A few minutes later, his second finish was ruled out after a VAR review in the fourth minute of second half stoppage time.

Sparta Rotterdam registered 18 attempts and saw 52.9% of the ball. Excelsior's defence stood up under pressure, making 32 clearances.
