Exclusive: Bernardo Silva to Barcelona 90% done; Flick approves deal | OneFootball

After years of failed attempts, financial roadblocks and transfer speculation that never truly materialised, Bernardo Silva’s move to Camp Nou is suddenly very close to becoming reality. 

Indeed, Barça Universal can exclusively report that the operation is now around 90% done, with only final details left to resolve before the deal can be considered fully complete.

Within the club, confidence around the transfer has grown massively over the last few days.

Furthermore, even Hansi Flick has approved the signing and is understood to be a huge supporter of bringing the Portuguese playmaker into his new project. 

Details of the transfer

Sources have informed us that the German coach has spoken directly with the 31-year-old playmaker, who is desperate to wear the Blaugrana shirt and remains completely focused on completing the move despite interest from elsewhere.

In that context, Atletico Madrid have made approaches in recent weeks, but the midfielder’s preference has not changed. Right now, Barcelona are his priority and by some distance.

Right now, Bernardo is currently asking for around €4 million net per season (€8m gross/year ), which is significantly less than the salary he earned at Manchester City. 

More importantly, he is still willing to lower those demands further if it helps the transfer go through.
