Tolu Arokodare is reportedly nearing an exit from the Molineux outfit
Wolverhampton Wanderers' first spell as a Championship club in eight years has left the club vulnerable to losing star names and high earners in the summer transfer window.
The Old Gold and Black finished bottom of the Premier League last season, winning just three of their 38 games under the respective managerial tenures of Vitor Pereira and Rob Edwards.
Despite this, there is still plenty of talent and experience still attached to the Molineux outfit at present, which has meant the West Midlands outfit have, unsurprisingly, been earmarked as pre-season favourites for automatic promotion.
However, plenty of change is likely to occur within the squad between now and the start of the Championship season, which Wanderers get underway against Blackburn Rovers in WV1 on Friday, August 14th.
Indeed, this comes after the most significant change at the club took place last month, with Cesar Peixoto installed as Wolves' latest head coach in place of the aforementioned Edwards.
The club have already moved to sign three players so far this summer, although the first of Peixoto's tenure came with the addition of the Comoros international winger, Rafiki Said, from Standard Liege.
Further adjustments to the 46-year-old's attacking department are still set to take place though, particularly when it comes to moving players on between now and the end of August.

Wolves are particularly stacked when it comes to current options at centre-forward despite their relegation, especially after they confirmed a reunion with Molineux cult hero and Mexican international, Raul Jimenez, on a free transfer last month.
The newly-relegated side also have the services of Adam Armstrong to call upon, with the former Southampton man's goalscoring record at this level able to speak for itself.
As such, plenty of question marks have lingered over the future of Nigerian frontman, Tolu Arokodare, who struggled to adjust to life in the Premier League after being acquired by Pereira in his final transfer window in charge.
The 25-year-old had scored 41 goals in 113 appearances for his former employers, KRC Genk, which earned him a £24m switch to the Midlands on a four-year contract, but he only netted six times in 38 appearances in all competitions last term.
As such, it was reported by the Express and Star on Monday that the striker had been left out of Peixoto's pre-season training camp in Portugal amid transfer interest.
Transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that Serie A side, Fiorentina, after seeing an initial bid rejected for Tolu, have come back with an offer of a loan move with a €22m option-to-buy next summer, as Fabio Grosso looks to reshuffle his own pack.
The cited fee would mean Wanderers could receive as much as £18.7m for the forward, which would still leave them at a £5.3m loss on his services overall.

With Tolu's future at Molineux already in doubt, fresh developments in the Black Country mean that his exit to the Florence outfit makes sense at this moment in time.
If the striker also returns to form at the Stadio Artemo Franchi, then Wanderers will also be able to recoup much of what they paid Genk 12 months ago, which would be a successful piece of business in its own right despite a loss being recorded on the financial books.
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Wolves are looking to sign Will Lankshear from Tottenham Hotspur alongside Southampton and Sporting CP, although all three clubs have seen bids turned down for his services by the North London side.
The 21-year-old was one of the Championship's most impressive strikers last term, scoring 11 times for an Oxford United side who were eventually relegated to League One, meaning it is no real surprise clubs of a greater stature are eyeing a move for his services this summer.
