On the heels of releasing a World Cup-inspired collection that’s perhaps the brand’s best release yet, we sit down with Live Breathe Futbol founder Ebun Olaloye to discuss how he is creating a new lane of soccer fashion.
The sartorial football fan is most likely already aware of Live Breathe Futbol. Since launching in 2011, the brand has risen from an if-you-know-you-know label to one that is now widely available at major retailers across the United States.
Still, LBF is continuing to reach new heights, and it has caught fire since we last checked in with founder Ebun Olaloye on the Urban Pitch Podcast in 2024.
In the years since, Live Breathe Futbol has continued its partnership with MLS to create officially-licensed collections for the entire league, leading to some of our favorite team apparel not just in North America, but the entire world.
When you think of fanwear, the first thing that might come to mind is cheaply produced goods with team logos slapped onto them that are sold at a premium because they come with an officially licensed holographic tag. One glance at LBF’s MLS line will tell you that’s not what the brand is about at all. Few if any fanwear brands are making knit polos, rugby shirts, and motorcycle jackets at all, much less at LBF’s level of creativity.

Live Breathe Futbol’s latest collection, inspired by the 2026 World Cup, further emphasizes its mission to elevate what soccer fans wear in the stands, at the bars, and beyond. Centered around Brazil, Argentina, and the United States, the LBF “Summer of Football” line features items that are far from typical: letterman jackets, camp collar shirts, and rugby polos.
Building on the hype from the world’s biggest sporting event, the line is made for the more discernible fan, one who wants to express their passion for the game without having to rock a frumpy tee that has a maximum of five wears in it.

There’s nothing “fast fashion” about Live Breathe Futbol, and on the latest episode of “Face Time,” Olaloye discusses how he merges his interests and hobbies into his brand, and how he is looking to build the Ralph Lauren of soccer wear through LBF.
