Inter Milan fans bristle as Leeds United ‘eye’ £34m move for Petar Sucic | OneFootball

Leeds United remain active in the market and interest in Inter Milan midfielder Petar Sucic, at around £34m, has drawn a hostile response from Nerazzurri supporters.

Leedsunited.news reports that Leeds and Newcastle have tested the waters for Sucic and could go as high as £34m, while Inter are reluctant to sell. James Trafford looks set to become Leeds’ third summer signing after a £40m agreement plus £5m in add-ons.

It is suggested Inter would only cash in for a huge offer, and it is unclear whether £34m would be enough. Sucic would be Leeds’ first-ever Croatian player.

Inter fans have largely urged the club to reject approaches or demand far more, with some pointing to valuations closer to £90m to £100m and arguing the mooted sums fall short.

If Leeds do add a midfielder, Brenden Aaronson and Ilia Gruev may need to consider their futures, with both contracts up next June. The 49ers could weigh up sales if offers arrive, and the club have already decided to cash in on Pascal Struijk after he entered the final year of his deal. A decision on Aaronson or Gruev is yet to be made.
