'Fantastic news!': Missing Leeds United fan 'Little Mick' found safe in Barcelona | OneFootball

A Leeds United supporter missing for more than 10 days has been found safe and well.

In a social media post, his brother Gary Hewitt confirmed the good news, saying Michael "Little Mick" Hewitt, 65, was in Barcelona and unaware of the search, that the family had wanted a simple, happy ending and would share more once authorities were notified and normality returned, and he thanked everyone for their help.

Michael had travelled from Leeds to Barcelona last week, where he was due to catch a connecting flight to Boston for England's group-stage match against Ghana.

After his family had no contact for 10 days, he was reported missing.

The appeal was widely shared by the media and across the football community.
