Daniel Farke says a decision on the future of Sam Byram has yet to be made.
Byram was introduced as a late substitute against Brighton as Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored a late winner to give Leeds a 1-0 win.
“Everyone knows I have a soft spot for Sam Byram,” said Farke after the game.
“It was always the plan that he plays this game. We have no final decision on his future yet, we will speak about this in the coming weeks. To come in and play a crucial part in the goal, if you would write a fairy-tale you’d write it exactly this way.”
The only negative of the afternoon for Leeds boss Farke came when midfielder Anton Stach was forced off on a stretcher late on.
“The opponent fell on his knee or ankle,” Farke explained.
“He tried to keep going on. I hope it’s not too bad but it was too painful.
“The World Cup is around the corner and fingers crossed it’s not too bad. It would be just guessing for me. Ankle injury, we have to wait on what the medical team says.”
