With his own experience, Boris Becker knows all too well what it means to become a star too soon. Having won Wimbledon at just 17, the former German prodigy sees a reflection of himself in Lamine Yamal's meteoric rise. In an interview with TakSport, he took the opportunity to warn the FC Barcelona and Spain winger about the dangers of achieving fame at such a young age.

"Lamine is incredible, he's winning everything. Right now, he's the best young player in the world. He reminds me of myself at 17. With him, I'm on alert. I think there's a very high risk that he could face certain difficulties in ten or fifteen years. (...) He needs to have two or three serious people around him. He has to choose his friends carefully, trust his family, and build a safety net for himself," explained Becker.
