According to a report from SPORT, it has come to light that Barcelona are taking extra care with Lamine Yamal ahead of the upcoming Spanish national team fixtures.
The young winger has been recovering from a delicate pubic bone injury, and Barcelona want to ensure he does not push himself too hard after his recent return to action.
The club’s medical staff have been closely monitoring Yamal, working tirelessly to manage his recovery. His comeback against Real Sociedad showcased his talent and progress, but the club remains wary.
“Although his progress has been very positive, Lamine’s pubic bone injury was delicate and the Blaugrana club does not want to take any risks,” the report noted.
If his recovery continues smoothly, Yamal will have played three matches before Spanish coach Luis de la Fuente announces the squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers on October 3.
Spain is set to face Georgia on 11 October and Bulgaria on 14 November. Both games are crucial as La Roja could secure their place at the 2026 World Cup.

Barcelona are cautious about the call-up, recalling the controversy from the last international window when Hansi Flick publicly criticised the national federation for risking players’ health.
The club’s stance is to protect Yamal’s fitness. In the past, he has even been withdrawn from the squad after travelling with an injury, and Barça want to avoid repeating such situations.
Both Barcelona and the Spanish Federation are keen to prevent misunderstandings.
The agreement is that Yamal will only play if fully fit, and in the event of any discomfort, he will be immediately withdrawn to prevent further strain.
There is still time to monitor Yamal’s progress, and his commitment to both Barça and La Roja remains unquestionable.
He is eager to contribute to the Blaugrana’s campaigns, while also helping Spain secure qualification for the World Cup.
