Felix Nmecha's Borussia Dortmund future is uncertain despite a recent long-term contract, with Newcastle United, Manchester United and Manchester City monitoring his situation.

Sky Germany reports that Dortmund want to keep the midfielder, who extended his deal until 2030 in March, but every player has a price and English interest remains strong.

The report says the three Premier League clubs have been in contact with his representatives for some time and hope an opening emerges in the transfer window. It added that if a major offer arrives from England, Nmecha could push for a move and is open to a return.

“Felix will also play for us next season; that is the clear plan. He is one of the best midfielders in Germany, and he has nothing to hide in Europe either. He is extremely important for our game,” Borussia Dortmund sporting director Ole Book said.

He told Sport Bild last month.

Nmecha came through Manchester City's academy, joined VfL Wolfsburg on a free transfer in 2021, then moved to Dortmund in 2023 for a reported €30 million.

He recently started for Germany in a 4-0 friendly win over Finland and has a good chance of playing alongside Aleksandar Pavlović in central midfield at the World Cup.
