Fenerbahce president Sadettin Saran was involved in a car crash on Tuesday morning in Kadikoy while travelling to the Chobani Stadium for executive meetings.
The club said in a statement that Saran, his driver and those in the other vehicle were in good general health, and that he had continued his schedule at the club.
Saran was a passenger when the collision happened. Images from the scene showed the front of a BMW heavily damaged, with the bonnet crumpled. The other car sustained bumper damage.
Early indications were that Saran suffered cuts and bruises, and his driver also had minor injuries. Medical checks confirmed both men were in stable condition.
Despite the scare, Saran reached the ground shortly after and attended a closed-door meeting with fellow executives.
He became Fenerbahce president in September, fulfilling a long-held ambition to lead the historic Turkish institution. On the pitch, Fenerbahce sit second in the Super Lig, four points behind Galatasaray having played one game more, with attention now returning to the title race.
