Corinthians have published behind-the-scenes footage of the 1-0 win over Barra that sealed a Copa do Brasil last 16 place. The holders advanced with two victories.
The film opens at Neo Química Arena, cutting between the crowd, Yuri Alberto’s winner and post-match celebrations in the home dressing room. According to Meu Timao, the footage was released on Corinthians TV.
It then rewinds to 21 April in Florianópolis, where André Ramalho and Gustavo Henrique urged focus before Fernando Diniz delivered a fiery message. On the pitch, Jesse Lingard struck his first goal for the club to clinch a 1-0 away win, later hailing the fans and stressing the importance of the result.
In the dressing room, Gustavo Henrique applauded the clean sheet and collective defending. The narrative returns to last Thursday in Itaquera, detailing warm-ups and a tribute marking his 100th Corinthians appearance with a commemorative shirt and plaque.
Final team talks came from Gustavo Henrique, Raniele and goalkeeper Hugo Souza, who demanded respect for their own work and standards. The match action showed a flurry of chances before Alberto settled it late for 1-0, prompting celebrations from more than 32,000 home supporters.
Post-match, Alberto welcomed the end of a nine-game goal drought and explained the “Gusmãozin” name on his shirt, a nod to Vila Cristina and his father, part of a Neo Química campaign for the Day of the Generic. Corinthians now visit Botafogo on Sunday at Estádio Nilton Santos at 16:00 in the 16th round of the Brasileiro.
