Who will Pyramids face in the FIFA Intercontinental Cup?

By defeating Al-Ahli Saudi (1-3) thanks to a hat-trick from Fiston Mayele, Pyramids have clinched the "FIFA Africa-Asia-Pacific Cup."

The Egyptian club has also secured its ticket to the next round of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup, where they will face the winner of the "FIFA Americas Derby."

The 2025 African champions are still waiting to find out who their next opponent will be. That will be decided on December 10, after a match between Cruz Azul, champions of the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup, and the soon-to-be-crowned winner of the 2025 CONMEBOL Libertadores—whose identity will be revealed on November 29.

The teams still in contention for the Libertadores are Racing Club (Argentina), Estudiantes (Argentina), São Paulo (Brazil), Flamengo (Brazil), LDU Quito (Ecuador), Palmeiras (Brazil), and River Plate (Argentina).

The clash between Pyramids and their Americas rival will take place on December 13, 2025. The winner will earn the right to challenge reigning European champions Paris Saint-Germain in the final on December 17, 2025.
