It is time to dive into the top performers from FIFA's Power Rankings - powered by Aramco.
Attacking Score: Kaishū Sano
Kaishū Sano scored Japan's first, and only, goal of the game with a delightful finish from the outside of the area.
That earned him an Attacking Score of 8.41.
Creativity Score: Vinícius Júnior
With 10 ball progressions and five midfield unit line breaks completed, Vinícius Júnior was a menace all afternoon.
The Brazil star earned a Creativity Score of 7.93.
Defending Score: Casemiro
Casemiro won three blocks, completed seven possession regains and earned himself a Defending Score of 8.04.
Attacking Score: Julio Enciso
Julio Enciso scored Paraguay's only goal in 120 minutes and was their main attacking threat throughout the match.
For that, Enciso earned at Attacking Score of 8.82.
Creativity Score: Florian Wirtz
Florian Wirtz was Germany's main creative outlet throughout the match, completing a remarkable 18 progressive passes.
That earned the Liverpool midfielder a Creativity Score of 9.02.
Defending Score: Andrés Cubas
Andrés Cubas anchored Paraguay's midfield superbly in their historic win and earned himself a Defending Score of 6.78.
Attacking Score: Cody Gakpo
Cody Gakpo scored his third of the tournament to give the Netherlands the lead.
The Dutch forward was the game's main attacking threat and earned himself an Attacking Score of 8.71.
Creativity Score: Crysencio Summerville
With two progressive passes and one assist, Crysencio Summerville was a constant hub of creativity for Netherlands.
It earned him a Creativity Score of 8.27.
Defending Score: Noussair Mazraoui
Noussair Mazraoui was a colossus at the back for Morocco, winning 88% of his aerial duels and claiming 12 posession regains.
As a result, Mazraoui earned himself a Defending Score of 7.87.
At the FIFA World Cup 2026™, FIFA launched a new individual player ranking system based on data collected during matches. The FIFA Power Rankings provide objective, data-driven insight into player performance.
All outfield players will receive a score between 0-10 in three categories (attacking, creativity and defending). Goalkeepers will be scored in two categories: in possession and defending the goal. A ‘Power Ranking Classification’ will be produced after each match round, showing the top 100 players in each category. The Power Ranking is considered as a measure of match and tournament performance: each player receives a score for each match and for their overall performance in the tournament.
