Aurélien Tchouaméni has this weekend moved to clarify the details of his falling out with Real Madrid teammate Federico Valverde.
This comes amid the assurance that the Frenchman never struck his midfield partner.
Blancos stars Tchouaméni and Valverde of course grabbed the headlines across not only Spain, but all of world football earlier this month.
This came after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the pair had been involved in a physical altercation at Real Madrid’s training ground.
The face-off culminated in Valverde being taken to hospital, ruled out of action for two weeks with a head injury.
Ensuing reports insisted that the incident’s flashpoint came upon Tchouaméni punching Valverde, before the latter hit his head upon falling to the ground.
As alluded to above, though, on Sunday, the Frenchman moved to shut down any such claims once and for all.
Drawn on the story during an exchange with the media earlier today, Tchouaméni explained:
“Valverde? I want to clarify things. Obviously, something happened. But the media blew it way out of proportion. I read all sorts of nonsense. ‘Fight, punch’, that’s not what happened. I won’t go into details.
“Fede and I share a common goal: winning titles for Real Madrid. There is no problem.”
