First Germany cap for Urbig to trigger Bayern payment to Köln | OneFootball

Back in January 2025, Bayern Munich paid a reported fee of €9 million to sign Jonas Urbig from 1. FC Köln.

However, according to Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, the fee could potentially rise by a further €6 million, taking the total package up to €15 million due to performance-related add-ons. 

One of the add-ons is apparently tied to Urbig’s international career with Germany, with the local outlet claiming that Bayern will be obliged to pay €1 million to Köln if he makes his senior debut.

The Rhineland club are also believed to have secured a sell-on clause.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper received his first senior call-up in March, but had to withdraw from the squad due to injury.

He will now be hoping to earn a place in Julian Nagelsmann’s World Cup squad.
