Club football continues this weekend with a packed schedule of must-watch games across Europe.

Manchester United and Manchester City renew rivalries at Old Trafford in the headline fixture, while Rangers host Celtic in a high-stakes cup clash at Ibrox.

Elsewhere, one of European football's most remarkable recent success stories faces its biggest test yet, asBundesliga newcomers Elversberg welcome Bayern Munich.

Lazio vs AC Milan

Lazio welcomeAC Milan to the capital this weekend aiming to preserve a perfect start to the Serie A side. Under the management of ex-Milan midfield general Gennaro Gattuso, Lazio have opened a league campaign with three consecutive wins for the first time since 2012.

The capital club extended their winning run by coming from behind to beat Udinese 2-1, courtesy of goals from new signings Davide Frattesi and Albert Gudmundsson.

Milansit just behind the 100% records of Roma, Inter Milan and Lazio, with seven points, following a positive start under Ruben Amorim.

Rangers vs Celtic

An improving Rangers face fierce rivals Celtic in a Scottish League Cup quarter-final. Rangers have won each of their last four games to recover from a suspect start under new manager Derek McInnes. Elversberg vs Bayern Munich

It feels surreal to call a league encounter a David vs Goliath clash, but there's no doubt that Elversberg vs Bayern Munich fits that brief.

Elversberg were in one of Germany's regional fourth-tier leagues just four years ago, before a remarkable rise that culminated in promotion to theBundesliga last season. Now, the tiny team from the small municipality of Spiesen-Elversberg, with a population of just 13,000, welcomes the Bundesliga behemoth to town.

Bayern Munich arrive at Elversberg's 10,000-capacity Waldstadion an der Kaiserlinde as 35-time German champions and one of Europe's most formidable forces.

Elversberg are now rubbing shoulders with genuine giants and doing so in style. They've won each of their opening two games, against Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach, ahead of this weekend's showdown. Another win would be the biggest result in their history.

Manchester United vs Manchester City

Manchester will come to a standstill on Sunday and not just because of the usual Mancunian Way gridlock. Manchester United face Manchester City at Old Trafford, as the red and blue sides of the city go to war again.

Real Sociedad vs Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid aim to avoid a third straight setback in all competitions at Real Sociedad this weekend.

Diego Simeone's side squandered a lead to lose at Liverpool in their Champions League opener, having been beaten badly at Athletic Club inLa Liga last weekend. A return to the Basque country pits Atleti against a Sociedad side with ambitions of making the top six this season. The two teams head into this one level on points in La Liga.
