Flamengo loanee Carlinhos ends six-month drought in Athletic’s 3-1 win over América-MG | OneFootball

Carlinhos ended a six-month wait for a goal, scoring in Athletic’s 3-1 win over América-MG on Sunday 16 at Estádio Independência in the 22nd round of Série B.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the 29-year-old is on loan from Flamengo until the end of the 2026 season.

He struck at a decisive moment to close out the scoring for the São João del Rei side. It was his first since joining the club and his first of this Série B. His previous goal came on 22 February for Remo against Cametá in a 3-2 win in the Campeonato Paraense.

Carlinhos arrived in July seeking minutes and rhythm. A Corinthians academy product, he has represented Nova Iguaçu, Oeste, Novorizontino, Vila Nova-GO, Marcílio Dias, São Caetano, Santo André and Audax-RJ.

He shone in 2024 with Nova Iguaçu in the Campeonato Carioca, scoring nine in 14 and helping the club reach the final, which prompted Flamengo to sign him. He then scored five in 20 for Flamengo.

Afterwards he was loaned to Vitória, netting four in 23 in 2025. In 2026 he joined Remo, making six appearances, all in the Campeonato Paraense. His Flamengo contract runs until December this year.
